Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3), to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, recognizes that health needs and considerations evolve throughout the life cycle. Although many older persons retain overall good health and functioning well into old age, the process of ageing entails an increasing risk of poor health.[1]

Report of the Expert Group Meeting on Care and Older Persons

The United Nations Expert Group Meeting on Care and Older Persons: Links to Decent Work, Migration and Gender was held from 5 to 7 December 2017 at UN Headquarters in New York. The meeting brought together 12 experts from across regions and from a cross disciplinary selection of universities and civil society and intergovernmental organizations over two and a half days.
