UN Chief calls for a rights-based approach and a life-cycle perspective to ageing in the digital space

The report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 76/138 on the follow-up to the Second World Assembly on Ageing. It provides an analysis of the impact of digital technologies on older persons and identifies the policy implications for older persons of the report of the Secretary-General entitled “Road map for digital cooperation: implementation of the recommendations of the High – level Panel on Digital Cooperation” (A/74/821). It also features selected work carried out by the United Nations system on ageing and older persons. The report concludes with key recommendations for consideration by the Assembly.
