11th Session of the Open-ended Working Group on Ageing

OEWG11|The Eleventh Working Session of the Working Group will be held from 6 to 9 April 2020, in Conference Room 4, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

ATTENTION: In light of the global coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation and its implications for intergovernmental meetings held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, a decision was made to postpone the eleventh session of the Open-ended Working Group on Ageing, scheduled for 6 April 2020.

The session will be held at a later date to be announced in due course. In the meantime, consultations regarding the draft recommendations will continue remotely.

The Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing was established by the General Assembly by resolution 65/182 on 21 December 2010. The working group will consider the existing international framework of the human rights of older persons and identify possible gaps and how best to address them, including by considering, as appropriate, the feasibility of further instruments and measures.
